Hi There! I’m Rafaela Dural
I'm a Marketing Undergraduate at the University of Texas at Dallas graduating May 2021. I'm also an M.S. Marketing Fast Track student.
Thanks for visiting! Explore my site to learn more about me, my background and what I have to offer. About Me
My Background
I'm a Marketing undergraduate at UT Dallas fast-tracking towards my Masters in Marketing. I'm creative and open to trying new things, which is why I am very interested in advertising and brand marketing. I've been applying to internships and expanding my knowledge in my field of interest.
I am 100% Filipino! I moved from the Philippines to Rhode Island with my parents and sister at the age of 7 years old, then I moved to Texas where my dad found a permanent job as a Telecomms Engineer at AT&T. I've been living in Texas for a little more than 10 years now. I keep myself busy with an organization called Filipino Student Association, the largest non-greek organization of UTD. I was a Cultural Dance Director for the organization, and I can proudly say I was able to lead my team of dancers to victory! Now, I am the president. I plan to continue successfully leading my officer board and this org of more than 700 members strong. I want us to promote cultural inclusivity and become well-known, not just on campus, but in the community of Dallas through philanthropic efforts that uplift our local Filipino community.
During the summer of Covid-19, I founded a pop-up bakery business with my mom and sister called The Pandesal Place (@thepandesalplace). I built the brand and take care of the social media. We've been featured on D Magazine online in July '20 and in the December 2020 issue as a part of the best new eats in Dallas. We've grown so much in just half a year and plan to continue expanding to our very own brick-and-mortar!
I want to succeed and achieve one of my life goals of providing for my family back home in the Philippines.
